[FIRST IMPRESSION] ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka

Plot:

On the 99th birthday of Douwa’s king, Jean Otus reveals to his department at the ACCA that they could be shut down. Douwa is an island nation, split into thirteen districts, each with their own government offices. Jean is second-in-command in the Investigation Department, an agency whose job it is to oversee government activity across the entire country, travelling to each of the districts to carry out audits. When Jean uncovers a case of corruption, he’s put under pressure to keep his job as the political elite discuss cutbacks to the system. Something is about to happen, and it seems as though Jean will be caught in the crossfire…

[REVIEW] ReLife リライフ SPOILERS

One year to change your life, all expenses paid… sounds good, right? For Kaizaki Arata, a part-time conbini worker, it seemed too good to be true. Approached in the middle of the night by an employee of the ReLife organisation, he’s promised a full time job if he agrees to take part in a social experiment for a year. Drunk and desperate, Arata takes the pill he’s offered, which makes him look ten years younger. It’s his job to infiltrate the local high school and act as a normal student, but it’s not exactly easy. His body is still physically 27 years old, and he hasn’t sat in a classroom for years. Add a smoking habit and a dash of alcohol dependency… well, he’s not exactly the star pupil.

Plot:

Far from sober and lamenting his failure at finding a full-time job, Kaizaki Arata wanders home from a local bar, only to bump into Yoake Ryou: a strange man with a strange proposition. Ryou offers him a drug, and the opportunity to turn his life around. Drunk and desperate, he takes the pill, which transforms his 27 year old appearance into that of someone ten years younger. With promises of a job at the end of the experiment, Arata has to infiltrate a high school and act as a regular student for a year. But unfortunately for him, it’s not as easy as it looks.

[REVIEW] She and Her Cat: Everything Flows 彼女と彼女の猫

She and her Cat tells the story of Daru, a beautiful black cat who keeps his owner company in their shared apartment. The girl’s roommate moves out to live with her fiancé and now faced with double the rent bill, she needs to find a job on top of her college studies. She becomes somewhat depressed after several failed interviews and her estranged mother calls her, begging her to move back home. But she refuses, because no matter how hard things get, she still comes home to Daru every night and everything seems okay again.
